Rotator Cuff

Many people have problems with their Rotator Cuff. It can start with a fall or Sports injury, or just occur with some aging and wear and tear on the joint. We as Manual Physical Therapists will examine the muscles, joints, nerves and even the neck to establish a Treatment plan.

Many Rotator Cuff injuries can be improved with Physical Therapy. However, complete large tears will need Surgery to repair. Then Physical Therapists provide treatment after surgery to help regain full movement and strength.

Sport-specific rehabilitation

  • In a young individual or athlete, sport-specific exercises must be included before resuming normal sport activity.
  • With the aging of the active population, this aspect of the rehabilitation, combined with progressive return to sport activities should not be omitted.

Manual therapy of the cervical spine, because of its close relationship with the shoulder, often is necessary. Restoration of strength is achieved by strengthening of the rotator cuff muscles, the scapula-stabilizer muscles. We have an experienced team that is ready to give you a proper assessment and formulate a specialized physical therapy treatment built to fit you. Call us today
