How can I strengthen my pelvic floor muscles by myself?
Imagine that the sling of muscles goes from the pubic bone at the front to the tailbone at the back. Now try to tighten in as if you were stopping yourself from passing gas. You should feel the whole muscles line list of been in as if you were sucking something up inside you. Make sure that you don’t hold your breath or tighten up any other big muscles at the same time, such as your buttock muscles or your abdominals. See how many seconds you can hold it without any difficulty. For some women that can be only 2 to 3 seconds while others can hold easily for 10 seconds. Try several times throughout the day.
